The Wellston Fire Department is located at 200 North Pennsylvania Avenue, which is at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and B Street.
The Station is fairly old, but we have adapted it to meet most of our needs. As you can see, we have more trucks than doors, so we have to stack trucks. We stack our Brush truck and Rescue truck in one bay, and two engines come out the same door. It takes a little skill when backing in, but we make due.
We have plans for a new station, but as with all departments, money is tight. We are looking into grants, as we always do, but nothing has came our way yet.
We have recently received our Ohio fire training charter which allows us to run Ohio certification courses. Along with this addition we have a new training grounds area that in development as we speak and is being used for some training classes.
